WESTCOTES WEEKLY UPDATE
This week, Westcotes officers have been busy carrying out proactive policing activity, safeguarding vulnerable people, and tackling crime and anti-social behaviour across the area.
🌠 This Week's Highlights
🌠Westcotes officers assisted with policing operations linked to the Women's Rugby World Cup.
🌠Officers seized a vehicle that was being driven in an anti-social manner.
🌠A motorcycle was seized after failing to stop following a road traffic collision.
🌠 Officers recovered a knife from a public place, helping to keep our community safe.
🌠 A Westcotes officer safeguarded a vulnerable person, ensuring they received the support they needed.
🌠 The team carried out daily high-visibility patrols in and around Bede Park to provide reassurance and deter crime.
🌠 Daily patrols also continued in identified anti-social behaviour hotspot areas.
🌠 Officers conducted positive stop searches for drugs, and where appropriate, individuals were signposted to support services through Turning Point.
🌠 Several cars and vans were seized for offences including having no vehicle tax and, in some cases, no valid MOT.
🌠 Several arrests were made during the week for a wide range of offences.
